QC Civil Inspector


Job Description:

The job involves the Quality Control and supervision of the works as they
relate to the construction of new and upgraded gas facilities on behalf of
the EPC contractor, ensuring that all (civil or machinery or Painting /
Coating / Insulation) construction activities are carried out by
Contractors in accordance with approved Procedures, Specifications, Method
Statements, Project Specifications, Project Procedures and relevant Codes
& Standards.

General Info:

Location: Algerian Desert, in the vicinities of Hassi Messaoud
Duration: the contractual base shall be on a one year contract, possibly
with another year extension
Probation: 3 month test period
Beginning: tentatively June 2010
Rotation: 77/21 for Western European personnel;
Working time: 60 hours per week, 10 hours/day from Saturdays to Thursdays
Calendar and Holidays: Algerian.
Payable Mobilization / presence: from the day of the actual arrival in
Algeria until the same day of departure from Algeria.

The following will be provided:
-       visa, residence, work permit and other local taxes;
-       round trip ticket from country of residence to Algeria;
-       boarding, lodging and local transportation according to client
standards

Requirements

Candidates shall be able to speak French
Candidates from Western Europe will be preferred but eventually candidates
from Eastern Europe  provided with a strong CV will be also evaluated.
At least 5 years experience as Quality Control inspector in its discipline
(Civil or Machinery or Coating) in the offshore/onshore oil & gas industry
or power generation.
At least 10 years experience in its discipline (Civil or Machinery or
Coating)
Knowledge of the standards and the applicable regulations in force.
Previous experience in Algeria will be a plus
